The City of Goleta invites the community to provide input that will inform the City’s priorities for programs and activities to be funded through the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) in the 2018-2019 Program Year (July 1, 2018 – June 30, 2019).
Each year the City receives federal funding from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development for its CDBG Program. The goals of the CDBG program are to undertake activities that benefit low and moderate income persons in the Goleta community, including but not limited to, programs that assist homeless persons, programs that provide health care to low-income persons, and provision of essential resources for low-income families. On an annual basis, the City prepares an Action Plan that sets forth the City’s plans for expending CDBG funds for the next Program Year. The draft 2018-2019 Action Plan is available on the City’s website for a 30-day public review period. Comments will be accepted beginning Thursday, April 5th and ending Saturday, May 5th, 2018 at 5:00pm. Comments should be submitted to Dana Grossi at firstname.lastname@example.org.
