DESCRIPTION:<p>Get ready for the Old Town Goleta Holiday Parade! Presented by Fuel Depot and Elks Lodge, the parade is a cherished community tradition featuring floats, bands, and performances that light up Hollister Avenue from Orange to Kinman.</p><p>The Lions Club is proud to announce Mr. James Marchiando as the Grand Marshal. Born and raised in the Goleta Valley, Mr. Marchiando is a lifelong resident whose roots run deep in local agriculture and community life. He grew up on a 10-acre lemon ranch on Yaple Avenue and San Marcos Road, originally owned by his mother, a member of the Cavaletto family. A graduate of Goleta Union School, La Colina Junior High, and Santa Barbara High School (Class of 1950), Mr. Marchiando went on to earn a degree from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo in 1955.</p><p>A few important details to know before you go:</p><ul type="disc">    <li>Don’t forget your blankets and chairs for comfort! The prime viewing area will be on the south (ocean) side of Hollister Avenue. Viewing is also available on the north side, but only on the sidewalk where space is available outside of the walkway. Low parade safety fencing will be in place. <a href="https://www.cityofgoleta.org/home/showpublisheddocument/31356/638678840956930000">A map of the layout is available here</a>.</li>    <li>Parade staging will close Orange Avenue (between Hollister Avenue and Carson Street) and Gaviota Street (between Orange Avenue and Magnolia Avenue) starting at 4:00 p.m.</li>    <li>Hollister Avenue will close to all traffic—including e-bikes—at 5:00 p.m. and is expected to reopen around 8:30 p.m.</li>    <li>Vehicles parked along the parade route will be cited and towed.</li>    <li>Please plan ahead for parking and consider carpooling if possible.</li>    <li>Public parking is available in the Yardi lot at 430 S.
