Goleta’s Fourth of July Fireworks Cancelled for 2020

Post Date:06/29/2020 12:31 PM
The City of Goleta is sharing information from the Santa Barbara & Goleta Chamber of Commerce:
The Santa Barbara & Goleta Chamber of Commerce regrets to announce the cancellation of the 2020 Goleta Fireworks Festival. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic we have made the decision to cancel this year’s event, in accordance with public health guidelines that require limiting social contact and avoiding gatherings. The committee worked to host a modified event with no in-person audience, but unfortunately it wasn’t possible.
The Rotary Club of Goleta Noontime and The Rotary Club of Goleta have put on the popular festival for many years. Just this year, the Chamber of Commerce took over for the clubs and hoped to build on the popular event they had established.
“We know the cancellation be disappointing for many - it is for us as well,” said Kristen Miller, President & CEO of the Santa Barbara & Goleta Chamber of Commerce. “We look forward to carrying on the special tradition our partners at The Rotary Clubs have built and we can’t wait to celebrate with our community in 2021.”
The Annual Festival features a firework show, live entertainment, kids’ activities, food trucks and more. FLIR Systems is the presenting sponsor of the Goleta Fireworks Festival. The Chamber would like to thank all our sponsors for their continued support into 2021: American Riviera Bank, Atlantic Aviation, Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck, Camino Real Marketplace, City Ventures, Community West Bank, FLIR Systems, KARL STORZ Imaging, Marborg Industries, Marriott Residence Inn, Montecito Bank & Trust, Pacific Premier Bank, Plains All American, Sansum Clinic, Signature Flight Support, Spherion, The Towbes Group and UC Santa Barbara.
