A Tsunami Advisory, issued by the National Tsunami Warning Center, remains in effect for the coastal areas.
- A Tsunami Advisory means that a tsunami is expected or occurring and may produce strong currents or waves dangerous to those in or near the immediate coastline.
- Most beaches in Santa Barbara County are closed at this time.
- Rogue, higher than normal waves are still occurring and may continue until further notice.
- Residents are advised to stay out of the water and away from beaches and waterways.
- Please help keep emergency lines open. Do not call 9-1-1 unless you are having an emergency.
