The Old Town Goleta Holiday Parade, organized by the Greater Goleta Santa Barbara Lions Club, is coming up THIS Saturday, December 6, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. Whether you’re a business owner decorating your storefront or a community volunteer painting and decorating windows, your participation is appreciated to help create a festive, welcoming atmosphere for everyone. There are two great ways you can help spread joy and get involved:

1. Window Decorating Contest
Storefronts from Orange Avenue to Kinman Avenue are invited to join the Window Decorating Contest, creating family-friendly displays. Here's how you can participate:

• Decorate windows before parade night
• Keep displays festive and family-friendly
• Avoid Mylar balloons (Plastic-Free Ordinance)
• Ensure decorations are visible and do not block sidewalks

2. Community Invited to Help Decorate Window Storefronts 
No painting experience is required—just enthusiasm and a willingness to pitch in. All supplies will be provided. If you can assist, please contact Marcos Martinez ASAP to coordinate at mmartinez@cityofgoleta.gov.

Categories include: Best Overall Window, Most Creative Theme, Most Festive Display, and People’s Choice Award.

Windows will be reviewed during the parade and winners will be announced next week. Prizes include a Fuel Depot gas card and car wash, plus recognition on the City’s social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram and X). After the parade, photos will be posted on the City's social media for community voting via comments or by sending an email to PIO@cityofgoleta.gov.
