There are a number of recreation opportunities available in Goleta:
- Pickleball players can find courts at Jonny D. Wallis Neighborhood Park (170 S. Kellogg Avenue), Evergreen Park (Evergreen Drive and Brandon Drive) and Goleta Valley Community Center (5679 Hollister Avenue). - There is an 18 hole Disc Golf course at Evergreen Park that is free and open to the public. Learn more and view a map at www.evergreendiscgolf.com.
- Goleta MOVES - A unique butterfly experience offered by the City of Goleta. It is an alternative way to understand and experience the phenomenon of the overwintering Monarch Butterflies while access to the Goleta Butterfly Grove on Ellwood Mesa is being restored. - The City's first skatepark is located at Jonny D. Wallis Neighborhood Park. All users must wear safety gear: helmet, elbow pads, and knee pads.
