Register to Receive City Bids

The City of Goleta is now conducting all of its bid and proposal solicitations online through PlanetBids™. Businesses should register now for the commodities they are interested in bidding on or selling, or as an emergency vendor. The City is only accepting electronic bids (bid bonds to continue to be mailed to the City). The initial bidders’ list will be developed from registered vendors.

The public can access and view active bids by clicking the links above or below. In order to view the bidding documents, you must be registered with PlanetBids. Once a bid is closed, all bidding documents are locked and are not viewable via PlanetBids.

Contracts for City of Goleta projects may be advertised in local newspapers and in related construction trade journals and newsletters.  The City of Goleta uses the online service PlanetBids™ to provide up-to-date information on City bid projects. RFP 2026-006 GOLETA CITY HALL HVAC REPLACEMENT PROJECT 

The City of Goleta is seeking a qualified contractor to remove two existing gas-fired rooftop HVAC units and replace them with two new electric heat pumps and economizers; curb replacement; limited ductwork replacement; roof repairs and flashing installation; installation of a new support glulam beneath RTU 13; and required electrical upgrades and controls installation. The new HVAC units will be placed in roughly the same openings after curb replacement. System start-up, testing, and balancing are required. PROPOSERS MUST BE REGISTERED ON THE CITY OF GOLETA’S PLANETBIDS PORTAL IN ORDER TO VIEW BID DOCUMENTS, RECEIVE ADDENDUM NOTIFICATIONS AND SUBMIT A PROPOSAL. Proposals will be received electronically no later than 2:00PM, July 07, 2026. All questions should be submitted electronically through the Q&A tab in the PlanetBids Portal.

RFP 2025-012 Goleta Community Center Skylight Replacement Project

The City of Goleta is seeking a qualified contractor to remove the existing skylight structure and shading system at the Goleta Community Center (GCC) and replace it with a new structure that utilizes a motorized solar shade system that is mechanically driven. The project is designed to replace, like-for-like, the existing 46’ x 10’ skylight, including the roof curbing, located above the GCC dining room. The new system will be placed in the same opening after curb replacement, and will utilize a powder-coated, metal framing system in Colonial White, which matches the white coloring of the existing roof. PROPOSERS MUST BE REGISTERED ON THE CITY OF GOLETA’S PLANETBIDS PORTAL IN ORDER TO RECEIVE ADDENDUM NOTIFICATIONS AND SUBMIT A PROPOSAL. Proposals will be received until 2:00PM, June 8, 2026. Addendum No. 1 is now available to view on PlanetBids. At this date and time, all proposals shall be submitted electronically via the PlanetBids portal. RFP 2026-005 Homelessness Response Coordination and Community Engagement

The City of Goleta is seeking a qualified organization to provide coordination, facilitation, and community engagement services to support the City’s efforts to address homelessness. PROPOSERS MUST BE REGISTERED ON THE CITY OF GOLETA’S PLANETBIDS PORTAL IN ORDER TO RECEIVE ADDENDUM NOTIFICATIONS AND SUBMIT A PROPOSAL. Proposals will be received until 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 26, 2026. Questions must be submitted via PlanetBids no later than 12:00 p.m. on Friday, May 15, 2026.
