The City of Goleta has an elected five-person City Council, including a directly elected Mayor, and four Councilmembers representing each district. The City adopted its four council districts in 2022, meaning voters registered in each district elect a City Councilmember from the district in which they live. The Mayor continues to be elected at-large. The City held its first By-District Election in 2022 for Districts 1 and 2; and in 2024, District Elections were held for Districts 3 and 4. Now for the first time in its history, the City has a Councilmember representing each of its four districts. View a map to find out which district you live in.
