If you would like to report what you believe to be an abandoned vehicle, please contact the City’s Parking Enforcement Officer at (805) 562-5501. Please be ready to provide:

• Your name
• Callback number
• Vehicle location
• Vehicle color
• License plate number

You may also report Abandoned Vehicles through the City's automated service request system, City Assist. Select Submit a Request and then Abandoned Vehicles.

To request an inspection after you have obtained a Building Permit, call the Inspection Request Line at (805) 961-7550 at least one business day before your requested inspection time. Leave a voicemail request stating the job address, contact name and phone number, and type of inspection requested.

Please listen carefully to the Request Line message to note certain Fridays and holidays when inspections are not available.

If you would like to report what you believe to be a Code Violation, please contact the City’s Code Enforcement Officer at (805) 961-7556.

You may also report Code Violations through the City's automated service request system, City Assist.

In case of emergency, and to report accidents and crimes, please call 911.

We encourage community members to report graffiti so that it can be promptly abated.  You can report graffiti by using City Assist, the City's automated online service request system, or by contacting Paul Medel, Public Works Manager, at (805) 968-6769.

For a crime in progress, emergencies, and/or mental health crisis that may pose a danger to self or others, call 911.
