San Jose Creek Channel Fish Passage Modification Project (Project No. 9117) – San Jose Creek Channel, Goleta, CA 93117 - Addendum to IS-MND
On April 7, 2026, the City Council approved, the Addendum to the San Jose Creek Capacity Improvement Project IS-MND (SCH #2007031035) from 2007, for the San Jose Creek Fish Passage Modification Project (Modification Project) . The project site is located in the San Jose Creek channel along the west side of SR 217. The approximately 5.85-acre project site is located on APNs 071-190-017, -035, -039; 071-170-036 and -086; 071-140-040, -060 and -080; and 071-090-037, -089, -090, and -098. The City proposed modifications to the Original Projects as the fish passage portion of the Original Project because ineffective and is in need of repair to allow for unobstructed fish passage. This Addendum to the adopted Final Initial Study – Mitigated Negative Declaration has been prepared in accordance with the relevant provision of CEQA and Section 15164 of the State CEQA Guidelines. The adopted Final Initial Study (IS) – Mitigated Negative Declaration (MND) and this Addendum to the adopted Final IS-MND serve as informational documents to inform decision-makers and the public of the potential environmental consequences of approving the Modification Project.
